Small earthquake barely rattles Lower Mainland

      Did you feel a rumble last night? It might have been an earthquake.

      A 2.4-magnitude quake hit outside of Abbotsford on August 27 around 7:07 p.m.

      The baby quake was located at a depth of nine kilometres, and was felt by a few residents.

      Earthquakes are more frequent part of life on the Ring of Fire than residents may realize; 10 West Coast quakes have been recorded in the last 18 days alone.

      B.C. has experienced 267 earthquakes in the last year.
