Topless women from Femen confront praying Catholic men in Argentina

The anticlerical feminist group Femen has caused a ruckus in San Juan, Argentina, by mocking Rosary-praying men outside a Catholic cathedral.

Topless women involved in the pro-choice protest used markers to paint Hitler-style mustaches on the men's faces.

The feminists also draped panties over the head of one of the Catholic men. (See video below.)

The anti-abortion website lifesitenews.com has claimed that some women chanted: "To the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, who wants to get between our sheets, we say that we want to be whores, travesties, and lesbians. Legal abortion in every hospital.”

The Femen website, on the other hand, notes that abortion is still punishable under the law in Argentina.

"It is included in the penal code in the section of 'Crimes against life'," Femen states, "it is just legal when it poses a risk to mother's health or the pregnancy is the result of a rape. Abortion is a right!"

The protesters also burned Pope Francis in effigy.

He was appointed as archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998. Three years later, he became a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church.

I never thought that pretty girls with no tops on in public could ever get boring.

      Thanks a lot, Femen

Using attractive, young naked women with perfect breasts is not the best way to wage war on society.

      "whores, travesties, and lesbians"?

Really, I doubt they chanted that. "travesties"? Huh?

But aside from that obvious false reporting, what they actually *did* was inexcusable and set their cause back, IMO. Pro-choice protesters here in the US never took to such extremes, nor to my knowledge laid seige to a church and assaulted people gathered in prayer.

That's not only criminal, but even worse, it's classless. That perhaps is an even bigger cause for their action to be condemned. Just plain NO CLASS.

How you say something's as important as what you say. Femen needs to get a clue.

Travestis is South American slang for M2F transgenders.
"we say that we want to be whores" lol what, Femen are trying to make prostitution ILLEGAL. GJ not even remembering your own dogma. I'd support them if they weren't reactionary morality dictators just like the religious groups they are protesting against.

Good on ya Femen! I can't imagine a time or place where a good burning of a pope, effigy or otherwise, is a bad thing. Anti-women, anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-evolution, anti-science in general, pro-ignorance, pro-pedophilia; who's ok with any of that?

Unbelievable. These women are behaving like animals. At 1 min 10 seconds one woman spits in a guys face. And we are supposed to think of these women as the good guys?
