William Shatner explains why he won't be interviewed by CKNW's Lynda Steele

My colleague Doug Sarti has long been a fan of Star Trek.

So it was only natural that he would make the request to interview the show's star, William Shatner, in advance of his Saturday (May 28) appearance at UBC's Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

Sarti told me afterward that Shatner was exceedingly gracious as he discussed his former costar, Leonard Nimoy, the eternal appeal of Star Trek, and even rumours that Shatner might appear in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond. You can read Sarti's article here.

Shatner was also a true gentleman this morning on CBC Radio as he was interviewed by Margaret Gallagher.

However, the Canadian icon got his back up when he was approached on very short notice by CKNW Radio host Lynda Steele. Below, you can read their exchange over Twitter.
