I just want to express my appreciation for a frequent poster, RUK. You are so insightful and kind, and have helped me in a few of my predicaments/bit%hing. Keep it real my friend :)

I second that. I posted a confession few months ago about leaving my wife who was unfaithful at one point. His advice made me see things from a different perspective. I am actually still working on repairing my marriage. Thanks RUK.
You are?

I have to agree. I am so grateful to the wisdom of RUK. We are lucky to have such amazing, lovely people in our town. Thank you!! I am in a few quandaries at this time and RUK is the best therapy. Shine on.

Was gratified by RUK's admission,to me, (in a post) that he "used to be a dick," but decided that he would rather share his wisdom and empathy in a more productive way. Kudos to you RUK. There is already too much negativity in the world. Well done for viewing things on the brightside.
I send this with my best wishes

When you write non controversial, mainly agreeable posts, it's easy to be popular. The question is, do such posts require much thought?

So it's better to tell someone off when they are brave enough to admit that they screwed up? If you are sitting at a bar and you look to your left and right and see no one that you know there is a reason why.

No, it's better to take a risk with with your thought processes, and not just be pandering.

Weeks ago I had written a post especially for RUK but it never made it through the cutting room floor. I'm glad this one came through so that I can also post my appreciation for RUK. RUK, who are you? Can you hold a function at a coffee shop (somewhat similar to a book signing) so we can meet you? :)
