I loved Breaking Bad, but there's a ton of garbage that's popular. When will the vampire shit be done with? Same with Game Of Thrones or any sci-fi crud. I must not forget the forensics programs. F'ing CSI ________ insert name of any city you can think of.

But you have watched 'The Wire' and believe it's the greatest show ever made for TV...

I suppose the answer depends entirely on how much you enjoy good drama. If you do then yes, you are. If you don't much care for that sort of thing then, no, of course you're not missing anything. These presentations won't change your life but, by virtually any standard, they are very well made.

So, the short answer is: Only you can know for sure.

Me neither, and apparently I'm missing out as well. But I don't think it's really that compelling, or else I would have downloaded them. Then again, the "dream team" clique at my workplace watches them obsessively, and talks about those goddamn shows while having their water-cooler convos, and they happen to the same folks who keep me out of the loop on company gossip and leads to interesting projects and even potential job promotions. So maybe NOT watching them is detrimental to my career.

Breaking Bad is amazing, but I couldn't get into Game of Thrones.
