I am a straight female, and my straight female boss laid me off. She was a bully. I've had male and female bosses and both can be equally inept, self-serving and promotion-seeking. If I look back over my entire working life, probably my best boss was female. She helped me achieved goals and removed obstacles for me to help projects get done. The rest of my bosses have all been forgettable. Some people are bosses in title only. Oftentimes I'm telling my current boss what to do.

as mid career professional, I have seen too many instances of incompetent and or mean spirited women in senior positions. The false notion dingbat feminists propagate is women in leadership positions will help create better world is laughable fantasy. Realty is the incompetent male will be replaced by incompetent female so the net effect is zero to rest of folks. The only legitimate societal struggle worth discussing is rich versus the poor. That is providing the poor with opportunities. Net effect of to past 50 years of advances made by women is just more harder porn more accessible to minors. first of all, as an English teacher, I'm appalled at the general level of incompetence when it comes to grammar. This is a generational trend. Read your post and edit. That said...it really depends on the industry. In education, this situation is more the rule than the exception as many females are promoted to positions based on seniority or willingness to work insane hours for less money. This is in administrative roles more so than teaching, public and private sector.This is the same in most clerical/administrative (gov't) jobs as well. A lot of younger women don't relate well to assertive men.... and women... and hire or reward weaker personalities, usually women, over men. Most lack real leadership skills and over compensate by being controlling and petty. My experience is any work environment needs balance as I have worked in male and female dominated scenes. I've also had some great female bosses, and have a great one now.

I'd fire you, too, with a shitty attitude like that. You're just jealous you aren't the boss.

For the most part, women make terrible leaders. It's just not a natural fit. Good leaders (bosses) possess traits that are more naturally found in males, that's just evolutionary biology. Women are better in nurturing roles, it's simply the natural order of our species and 95% of other species as well.

It's a shame some people deny or fight this natural order. It makes life so unnecessarily difficult.
