Bad Romance

I'm a spy. She was an assignment. I romanced her to gain her trust and recruit her. She rejected. I couldn't resist, I fell hard for her. I tried to manipulate her, but she is too smart, so I abused her, did terrible things. She broke up with me. I'm using my power to harass and isolate her. I intimidate and bribe everyone she knows to make her life a hell. I hope she'll become desperate and she'll come back. She's not budging. I hate her.

Compassion AND disgust. Perhaps you've been abused in a similar way or will be in the future? Posting on here suggests that you are being reflective. Stay present and realize what this situation is revealing to you about your own unhealed wounds. You get to decide what type of person you want to be from this moment on.

You sound like one of those people who manipulate others' emotions in order to be "in control" of them/the situation…unfortunately, that only works on people with really low self-esteem. When I see people with the O.P.'s qualities, I run the other way and don't look back.

i've wished for that power before. to have the ability to bribe/intimate everyone so that every transaction she would be shortchanged. every light would be red. every sales person would be grumpy. every coffee would be burnt.
