Radio Theatre

So, I've been spending the past few days re-discovering the world of radio theatre in the two languages I'm fluent in. I keep one simple rule, which is to not allow any distractions as I listen. I turn my phone and my lights off, I turn my monitor down to the lowest brightness level, I lay down on my bed and place my coffee within reach, close my eyes, and sink into a magnificent auditory universe from way before my time. Old mysteries, Sci Fi dramas, monologues, short stories---you name it, I tune my ears into it. The result? An evening delight that I now look forward too every night (and sometimes morning) of the week... along with an deeper appreciation for a time when people's linguistic dexterity was richer and the human imagination had more stir. I dare others to try it!

Oh yeah I have enjoyed this stuff for years, with CKNW's Network replay (now off air). Listening and imagining beats today's CGI eye-candy any fucking time!
