My Favourite Thing is a video feature where the Georgia Straight gets interesting folks to list off, among other things, their favourite performers, live gigs, and singers. And, of course, their favourite thing.

Trevor Guthrie has come along way from his days as the lead singer of SoulDecision. The singer-songwriter long ago traded in his bleach-blonde hair and boy-band era tunes (remember "Faded" and "Ooh It's Kinda Crazy?") for a more down-to-earth look and a sound that packs sophistication and sincerity.

Some might remember Guthrie's vocal track on Armin van Buuren's 2013 smash, "This Is What It Feels Like". Since the disbanding of SoulDecision, Guthrie's been hard at work writing and releasing new material inspired by artists like Avicii, Imagine Dragons, and Coldplay. His latest single, "Wanted", was released just last week.
