Vancouver police have taken four men between 17 and 34 years old into custody after a violent Christmas Day crime spree.

The men were captured when their getaway car was bocked by police vehicles at Grandview Highway and Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby.

The first robbery occurred at 7:30 p.m.. when two men with weapons stormed into the Hot Delivery Restaurant at 3002 Cambie Street.

According to a police news release, they "ransacked the restaurant searching for valuables".

"One man was struck in the head and a woman suffered a cut to the hand," police stated.

Their next target was the Truong Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant at 2096 Kingsway Avenue. Again, two men entered the premises with weapons, ordering people to turn over valuables.

Police spotted their getaway car near East Broadway and Boundary Road, following the vehicle to the Grandview Highway location where the arrests took place.

Another (unreported) robbery on the 24th

      Dec 27, 2014 at 12:49am

Police canvassed Killarney street on the 25th after a robbery on the 24th at about 20:20 at a restaurant just south of Kerr & 54th Ave.

An item from the robbery was found along Killarney Street on Christmas day - hence the police canvassing door-to-door.

I spoke to the cop myself.

Would love someone to actually report on the incident, particularly with further info.
