You’ve visited its Christmas market, but you may not know about Circle Craft and the Craft Council of B.C.’s fantastic summer market.

Running from Thursday to Sunday (July 23 to 26) at Jack Poole Plaza near Canada Place, under shady tents at the foot of Thurlow Street, it boasts a whopping 89 exhibitors and free admission.

High-quality finds include the bright landscapes of Yapes Paints; the fused-glass birds and fish of Gabriola Island’s Illuminati Glassworks; the rustic, barklike ceramics of Sophia Clay Art; and the West Coast nature–inspired silver jewellery of Joanna Lovett Sterling. Other artisans work in leather, fibre, wood, and textiles.
