We love the strong female talent behind this all-women show: Mom’s the Word writer Alison Kelly has teamed up with veteran TV scribe Stacey Kazer to create Conversations With My Mother. Directed by acclaimed theatre talent Katrina Dunn and starring charismatic stage star Patti Allan as the titular matriarch, the offbeat, edgily funny tale is about two polar-opposite sisters whose mother refuses to leave them—even after death. Kelly and Deborah Williams take on the roles of the sisters who might not be as different as they appear. The show runs at the Gateway Theatre from Thursday (October 9) to October 25.
