Awesome dog rides bus by herself in Seattle

Riding the bus can be a stressful prospect. But on one Seattle bus route, a special passenger brings smiles every time she rides.

Eclipse, a two-year-old Black Lab cross, frequently rides the D-Line to get to the dog park.

Her rides began after her owner, Jeff Young, was waiting for the bus while smoking a cigarette. According to Young, he wasn't finished smoking when the bus pulled up, so Eclipse hopped on the bus alone for the short journey.

"We get separated. She gets on the bus without me, and I catch up with her at the dog park," said Young. "It's not hard to get on. She gets on in front of her house and she gets off at the dog park, three or four stops later."

Fellow passengers seem to love Eclipse, although Metro Transit says she'd be a bit safer if she was on-leash during her rides.

Check out the report from KOMO below.

Hey Translink! Could we get some adorable dogs on the B-Line? I promise it'll make the commute more pleasant for all involved.

Ya & if this took place in Vancouver on our public transit & knowing the Translink police, the poor doggy would be fined with for fare evasion.

It does make me wonder (and concerned) how much dogs see and understand.
