Strange Occurance

A month ago I realized that I had left my home keys back at the office halfway back to Surrey. Since I still had my passcard I realized I could still get into the office to get them . When I got to the office at about 6:30 pm I see one of the Owners of the company having sex with someone who was not his wife. It was in fact a man. It was very awkward and he saw that I saw them. So I decide to keep this to myself because I don't want to lose my job and its none of my business. Last Monday I got promoted to a new position with a large increase in pay. This Owner was in charge of this promotion. I am pretty sure I got this position because I kept my mouth shut. His wife works here too as a Manager and if she knew he would be sleeping in a Motel. I feel horrible but my family really needs the money. Is this how the business world really works?

Yes, don't ask, don't tell right? I've worked for the provincial and federal government also. You should see the amount of stuff that goes on there, insane!!! Just be lucky you got the promotion if you feel you deserved it, then just go with it ;-)

You didn't go and source his fuckfriend so what is the problem?
If either were your good friend, then maybe you say something.
Otherwise, not blathering is not being complicit in this case.
You are not guilty, even if your eyeballs feel soiled.

Tattle tales, rats, gossips, big mouths...
no one wants one of them around.

Hope this guy at the office learns to be a bit more discreet...
Other wise the company could go bankrupt with promotions all over the place and that one douche who tells the wifey.
Watch the company become fiscally unstable after that.

you did the right thing professionally and morally... now its just paying off! I suppose also, your position is pretty safe while that guy is the manager. I'd be careful though not to push the envelope

You sound really sensible but I don't think you should feel terrible. You don't really know what his wife knows or suspects but you do know that it's none of your business. Keep your head down, be a good employee and rise to the challenge of your promotion. And enjoy your big raise!
