I Hate Christmas

Christmas is a really lonely time for me. I don't have a boyfriend and everyone in my family thinks I should be married and on baby #2 by now. I mean I am freaking 25. Its not like I am 30. But still the years are passing by and I do want to meet a good man. I keep getting asked the same thing. "Why don't you have a husband?" I hate Christmas.

Some questions for you to ask :)

1) Are you really happy or you just got married because that's what everyone was doing?
2) Did you marry the person you really loved or you just went for what you can get?
3) Are you really happy or are you just faking it?
4) Do you think your marriage was a great decision or your destiny?
5) What if you found the right person after you already got married?
6) Do you have any idea what the divorce rate is?
7) Do you have any idea what love addition or relationship dependency are?

Why the thumbs down?

It's awful being harassed by family like that. My daughter gets this from her other side, endless questions and nagging about why no man, why no babies. Maybe the answers to these questions are circumstantial and very private.

unmarried with no babies, perfectly content, and love Christmas! You'll never meet a man with such a lack of confidence. Pretty sad that you've adopted this grim outlook at such a young age... You're wasting your 20's! Stop being a grinch.

Dear, marriage and kids are highly overrated. Focus on having your act together , being truly happy, and then you might be able to find your true sense of purpose, married or not. As for the insensitive jerks asking you the same stupid questions...tell them something outrageous...like your goal is saving money for your transgender surgery...that should shut them the fuck up!!

"Over 19 is too old to turn me on. I'm not going to marry him, of course...you're not suggesting that, are you?"

Or you could go with the stock "No good men left in Vancouver", and then mumble that you're thinking of moving away...to LA, or Nunavut, or Amsterdam. Or Cairo, Tokyo, Sydney or Dubai.

Perhaps claim to be uncertain of your sexual preferences or gender identity.

Spread your wings and be creative. Other people are trying to run your life; help them help themselves out of that habit.
