Anthony Keidis' hair was the perfect topper to his cut bod back in the day. He's just not the same with the short hair. The long straight hair was major sex appeal. Maybe he's trying to "add" back the hair via the 'stach.
On a related note, I miss Eddie Vedder's cheekbones circa 1992.
