Eating vegetarian is extremely unhealthy. This has been proven without a doubt. You simply can not get the appropriate amount of iron. Can you survive? Sure, but at the expense of the effects of living with low iron.
Sure vegetarians will say something like "i can eat kale as it has lots of iron".
Well lets do the math.
-An adult needs about 10mg of iron per day
-Kale has 1.5mg of iron per 100gams
-That means you would need to eat 666 grams of kale per day to get the recommended dose.
Know how much kale that is? Its about 3 shopping bags full!! You would be eating kale ALL day long to get enough iron.

i don't eat kale (too expensive where i live) but i do eat bagels and lentils, and i receive between 350-500% of the recommended iron per day as a vegan. but yes, i must be just withering away on some vitamin or mineral, right? oh KalCiuUUuUmm!!!! derp!
