American sitcoms

I don't understand how anyone can tolerate American sitcoms with the insufferable laugh tracks. After 5 minutes I have to change the channel to anything else. It is not only irritating but insulting as well.

So true! I think the Canadian series Mr. D is an excellent example of a truly funny show. No laugh track required.

Radio shows are the best. You can be productive while you listen. It's hilarious and the laughing is a live audience.

Yes it is quite lame, that is a good example of how they teach viewers when and how much to laugh. You know that person who laughs at an advertisement they show in the theater before the previews that you've already seen on tv a million times... that is the same person who laughs incessantly at sitcoms along with the laugh track.

I don't have a TV. Once a year for the past 20 years I've been attending a 3-day trade show in Seattle. I turn on the TV sets in the rooms for news in the morning and before bed.
Sitcoms insufferable? Every fucking channel is insufferable.
