Dear shoppers

Please stop asking for a discount.
There's no special price.
Prices are already very fair and reasonable.
I can see your shoes cost more than my paycheque.
Next time you ask me, I'm going come into your place of work and ask you for a discount on everything for no reason.

Yes, not every shop is a night market stall.
If you can't afford it, maybe buy something cheaper, or even better:
STOP SHOPPING!!!

Happens to me every day I'm at work too! I just want to scream at them like "helllloooo!!! I know those are Gucci slides and your bag is YSL and you have the nerve to ask for a discount on this $200 dress?!?!"

There is ALWAYS a discount. I have NEVER paid sticker price for ANYTHING. Best Buy just had a sale on a computer, 320 bucks off - and I got a further 25 bucks off, a free mouse, and a USB network stick.
You need to ASK - and if you can't give it, I'll ask for the manager.
Cultural difference

I don't haggle, but when I worked retail, the people who did would sometimes get extra deals. They normally weren't Canadian, and I felt it was rude and annoying, but they did get some stuff out of it very often.
I can see why they do it, even if it isn't a part of our culture (for the most part, though there are some exceptions). I just wish they wouldn't haggle, but I get the impression that they don't care.
