Internet Drama

I must confess that when I make anonymous comments online, I keep from using my best, most creative zingers. I save them for real life.

It's my nightmare that I'll use my "good stuff" IRL and someone will then know that I moonlight as a vile, despicable, anonymous online comment maker and trollmaster. This would totally compromise my IRL comment making activities.

When I come up with something creative and post it online, it goes on my "IRL blacklist," and, while I'm pretty disorganized and loose in real life, I have never violated the blacklist.

The worlds shall never collide.

Multiple "can relate" votes, so "IRL blacklist" is a known thing?

How about this? If you slip up and get caught (assuming that whoever catches you (a) reads your online comments; and (b) actually remembers the source when he/she hears you make the comment in the real world), couldn't you just lie and say "Oh, I read that somewhere?" Yes, you lose the credit and prestige of having been the one to coin the fabulous zinger, but you can save your anonymity just a bit.....(ever so important here in Confessions, right?)

PS - I think I know your online moniker here but will never, ever say! :)
