BC Ale Trail names 31 breweries in its 2024 Vancouver Tasting Passport

Great news if you love both supporting local businesses and knocking back a cold one with the lads (gender inclusive): the Vancouver Tasting Passport wants you to do just that.

The BC Ale Trail initiative is running from now until April 30, encouraging local beer fans to try at least six unique brews for a chance to win prizes.

Spanning both Yeast Van and Brewer’s Creek, there are a whole host of local favourites on the 31-strong passport, from Superflux and Storm to Main Street Brewing and the Magnet. You can check out the full list here.

Beer aficionados can earn a stamp for every beer bought at a participating brewery, as well as during the 10-day Vancouver Brewers Fest that runs from April 19 to 28.

Prizes on offer at the end of the contest period include a night at the Hyatt Regency, a VIP tasting at Strange Fellows, and plenty of gift cards and swag. But, really, we know what the true victory will be: gathering a stamp from every single participating brewery so you can say you’ve drunk them all.

Doing some simple math, if you start right now, you’ve got time to visit one brewery per day and then still return to your four favourite spots.

So there’s nothing left to do except find a designated driver and brush up on the city’s hoppy history. We’ll drink to that!
