Costs are going up everywhere—except at Kinton Ramen.

The ramen franchise, which has expanded from a lone shop in Toronto to 38 stores across North America in the past 12 years, announced today that it’s cutting prices on its noodle bowls. Effective immediately.

“We understand the financial pressures facing our customers,” says Daiki Takane, vice president of operations at Kinka Family (the parent company of Kinton Ramen) in a statement, “and we are committed to supporting them by offering high-quality dining experiences at more affordable prices.”

That means if you head to any of Kinton’s Lower Mainland locations—including storefronts on Robson Street, Marine Drive, or at UBC campus—you’ll find the ramenya’s signature offerings are about $2 cheaper.

Pork, chicken, and vegetarian original ramen have dropped from $17 to $14.99, while beef original ramen will only set you back $16.99 rather than $19. The same reduction also applies to all Kinton’s other ramen flavours: shoyu, miso, and spicy.

Some sides are also seeing savings, with takoyaki, gyoza, and gohan (rice) all dropping by 51 cents.

      We’ll slurp to that.
