Grammy Award-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band will play the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on May 25. The 12-piece group rock-and-soul powerhouse, led by the husband-and-wife team of guitarist Derek Trucks and singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi, is making its first visit to the West Coast since 2022.

The show will support the band’s most recent release, the quadruple album I Am The Moon, released in four separate parts over consecutive full moons.

First formed in 2010, the TTD promptly won a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album for its debut release, The Revelator (2011).

Over the course of the past decade and a half, the band has built a devoted following for songs that combine southern rock, modern blues, and jam-band Americana. Live the Tedeschi Trucks Band has built a reputation for shows that mix note-perfect versions of the hits with sprawling off-script sonic explorations.

As for where the band is most comfortable on the musical landscape, Tedeschi offered this in a 2016 interview with the Straight: “I don’t know exactly what style of music it is. But I mean, there’s definitely an influence from jazz and blues and folk and rock and R&B and soul. I think we’re just a big melting pot of all those styles.”
