Vancouver has hosted a few major events over the past couple of years—and now here comes another. For the first time, the World Harp Congress & Festival is coming to Vancouver.

The world’s largest harp festival, traditionally held in Europe, will take over various venues throughout the city from July 24 to 30, with some 800 expected participants from 40 different countries.

Styles from Baroque to jazz and rock will be represented at various concerts, workshops, and master classes. Highlights include a concert July 28 at the Vogue Theatre, featuring New York jazz harpist Park Stickney with Germany’s renowned world harpist Rí¼diger Oppermann.
