The FOG Theatre presents Heroes, a comedic play by Tom Stoppard, at the PAL Studio Theatre (581 Cardero Street) from September 6 to 30. The play features actors John Innes, William Samples, and Michael Dobbin, and is directed by Terence Kelly.

Heroes is based on Gerald Sibleyras’ Le Vent des Peupliers, and is set in a French retirement home in 1959. In the play, three World War I veterans hatch an escape plan, but are hilarious deterred by their own flaws—Gustave suffers from agoraphobia, Henri has an injured leg, and Philippe is prone to blackouts.

Tickets to the FOG Theatre’s production of Heroes is $25 and can be purchased online in advance. Shows star at 8 p.m. from Tuesdays to Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
