UBC Remote Ensemble makes online debut April 21
UBC School of Music presents a free livestreamed showcase of UBC Bands and the UBC Remote Ensemble this Wednesday (April 21).
The program includes four works by J.S. Bach: Wenn mein Stündlein vorhanden ist, performed by flutists Cherry Hsu, Emily Joo, and Wellesley Kerr; Meine Seel erhebt den Herren, performed by clarinetists Aimee Joo, Daniel Ketter, and Masaya Morita, and bass clarinetist Janelle Xu; Nun komm, der Heide Heiland, performed by violinist Ayumi Yaesawa, violists Lucy Strauss and Bart Stryckers, and cellist Aireleen Zhu; and Es ist das Heil uns kommen her, performed by percussionists Kaiya Gazley, Heejung Jung, and Louis Lu.
Also on the program are Beethoven's: Minuet No. 9 in G from Eleven Viennese Dances, performed by violist Bart Stryckers, flutists Wellesley Kerr and Amanda Lawrence, clarinetists Aimee Joo and Daniel Ketter, and bass clarinetist Janelle Xu; Mozart's 3 Duets K. 156 No. 1, performed by violinist Ayumi Yaesawa and flutist Kelly Li; and Bizet's Overture to Carmen, performed by double bassist Yueming (Remy) Xia.
