UBC Remote Ensemble makes online debut April 21

      UBC School of Music presents a free livestreamed showcase of UBC Bands and the UBC Remote Ensemble this Wednesday (April 21).

      The program includes four works by J.S. BachWenn mein Stündlein vorhanden ist, performed by flutists Cherry Hsu, Emily Joo, and Wellesley Kerr; Meine Seel erhebt den Herren, performed by clarinetists Aimee Joo, Daniel Ketter, and Masaya Morita, and bass clarinetist Janelle Xu; Nun komm, der Heide Heiland, performed by violinist Ayumi Yaesawa, violists Lucy Strauss and Bart Stryckers, and cellist Aireleen Zhu; and Es ist das Heil uns kommen her, performed by percussionists Kaiya Gazley, Heejung Jung, and Louis Lu.

      Also on the program are Beethoven's: Minuet No. 9 in G from Eleven Viennese Dances, performed by violist Bart Stryckers, flutists Wellesley Kerr and Amanda Lawrence, clarinetists Aimee Joo and Daniel Ketter, and bass clarinetist Janelle Xu; Mozart'3 Duets K. 156 No. 1, performed by violinist Ayumi Yaesawa and flutist Kelly Li; and Bizet's Overture to Carmen, performed by double bassist Yueming (Remy) Xia.
