The first Blade Runner 2049 teaser trailer hits the web: Ryan Gosling vs. Harrison Ford

      The first teaser trailer for the much-anticipated Blade Runner 2049 has finally hit the web.

      Directed by acclaimed Québécois filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who has been impressing audiences and critics alike with films like Sicario and Arrival, this sequel takes place 30 years after the events in the original neo-noir film, which was released in 1982 and was based on Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

      In the new film, when LAPD Officer K, played by Ryan Gosling, uncovers some information that could potentially destabilize what remains of society and trigger social collapse, sets off on a mission to find Rick Deckhard (Harrison Ford, who reprises his role from the first film).

      The cast includes Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, Sylvia Hoeks, Ana de Armas, Carla Juri, David Dastmalchian, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, and Jared Leto.

      Blade Runner 2049 will be released on October 6.
