Vancouver's days of outdoor ice-skating on Trout Lake may be coming to an end.

As of noon today (January 16), the Vancouver Park Board closed the East Vancouver lake to skating and all other ice activities, due to changing weather and temperature conditions.

According to Environment Canada, rains are forecast to return to Vancouver with temperatures expected to rise to highs of 10 C by Wednesday (January 18).

The lake was first opened for skating on January 5. It was closed on January 8 due to warmer weather but was later reopened on January 11.
