New study ranks Vancouver as the most unaffordable city in North America

Vancouver, Vancouver, Vancouver, why you gotta cost so much?

According to a recent ECA International cost-of-living study, Vancouver is now the most expensive North American city in which to live, narrowly beating out Manhattan and Ottawa.

The study also ranked Vancouver as the 35^th most expensive city in the world, up from its 43^rd-place ranking last year.

Toronto and Montreal also made the list of the top 50 priciest places to put down roots, ranked 40^th and 43^rd respectively.
