Orville Peck is galloping back into Vancouver this July, hitting the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver on July 8 as part of his North American Stampede Tour.

The South African country-noir singer’s tour announcement comes hot on the heels of his recent signing with Warner Records—along with an upcoming single alongside country legend Willie Nelson, “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other”, set to be released on April 5.

“I am incredibly happy to be joining the Warner family and getting back on the road this year,” says Peck in a release. “I feel happier and healthier than I’ve ever been, and I’m excited to start this new chapter.”

Last year, Peck announced via social media that he would be cancelling the remaining dates on his Bronco tour, which included axing his back-to-back shows planned at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

This time, Peck will “stampede” through North America, kicking off his 40-city tour in late May in North Carolina and hitting cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto before landing in his one-time home of Vancouver.

The mysterious, theatrical country enigma is known for his gothic country vocals and iconic fringed masks that hide his face, which he has said help him express himself freely.

The artist, formerly of Vancouver art-punk band Nü Sensae, has marked his evolution with references to western sensibilities, first entering the scene with his debut album Pony, followed by sophomore release Bronco

He continues the theme with the Stampede Tour and “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other”, which we hope will lead to another album sometime soon.
