Fashion, photography, and philanthropy unite at Behind the Lens, a fundraiser presented by Obakki at the Vancouver Urban Winery (55 Dunlevy Avenue) on June 27 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Rather than documenting the Vancouver-based clothing label-turned-non-profit's wearable pieces, however, the exhibit will showcase Obakki founder Treana Peake’s personal field photography working in South Sudan.

In addition to the photography exhibit, the event will also include a wine reception and an acoustic performance by local singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas.

Tickets to Behind the Lens are $150 and can be purchased online. One hundred percent of proceeds will go towards helping to build a water well. Details can be found on the Obakki website.
