Vancouver will be strutting its stuff all over town September 17 to 28 with a series of private and public events.

Vancouver Design Week is taking a yearlong hiatus, with a big comeback planned for 2016. But a loose group of events is filling the gap. Here are a few.

      Vancouver Modern Home Tour

      Saturday (September 19), 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Vancouver Modern Home Tour is a one-day, self-guided tour offering access to properties that embody different aspects of modern architecture, among them a West End condo inspired by a New York loft, a 1960s Bob Lewis post-and-beam home in West Vancouver, and a new laneway house in Kerrisdale.
