This 2-day seminar may be not the most exciting part of the business world, but surely one of the most crucial for your success. Canada Revenue Agency requirements are not always the most business-friendly, and sometimes business owners feel overwhelmed trying to comply with numerous laws, rules and instructions. Artists need to have more time to create! How to survive and keep the balance between meeting your tax obligations and growing your business is the main feature of this seminar.

During the first part of the seminar, we will discuss advantages and disadvantages of being incorporated, introduce CRA requirements for business record-keeping and reporting your business income and expenses, and discuss eligible business expenses and special situations (e.g. business use of home and vehicle, meals and entertainment). The second part of the seminar is dedicated to Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST).

Our seminar is focused on specific issues and tips that are common for visual artists' practice.
