Whether you pledge allegiance to the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire, you can celebrate your love of Star Wars while learning about galaxy-related things this May 4 at the H.R MacMillan Space Centre.

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre aims to spark and inspire inquisitive minds about space exploration rooted in fact rather than fiction, but the two merge for a special Star Wars-themed day in May.

May the Fourth (affectionately known as Star Wars Day) sees the Space Centre transformed into an immersive experience for all ages. From interactive science exhibits for the young ones to in-depth discussions on the science behind Star Wars for the adults, there’s something for everyone.

Highlights include live music by Thomas Beckman playing classic tunes from the space saga, galactic shows in the Planetarium, and Star Wars characters ready to take photos with you for your social media feed.

Maybe a younger version of you had dreams of being an astronaut one day, or maybe you’re a Jar Jar Binks apologist. Either way, this May the Fourth Be With You event is sure to delight.
