For over a decade, the Canadian Association of Science Centres has, through its CASCADE Awards, recognized industry professionals and institutions that continue to broaden the reach of science in innovative and accessible ways. This year, Science World’s Creative Technology Gallery took home the prize in the category for a project costing over $1 million.

Launched in partnership with DigiBC and utilizing the expertise of over 250 local creative tech companies, the gallery features interactive stations and immersive experiences suitable for all ages. The current show Dream Builder: The Shattered Isle allows visitors a glimpse into the process of how their favourite video games are created. New shows are scheduled for 2025 and 2026.

“We are incredibly proud to receive the CASCADE Award for Science World’s Creative Technology Gallery,” shares Tracy Redies, president and CEO of Science World, in a release. “This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who continue to put their hearts into building an immersive and inspiring experience to make science fun and accessible for all. We hope the gallery continues to inspire future generations of creative technologists and innovators.”
