Hardcore Rush fans hoping to relive the rush they got when they cracked open that double-live All the World's a Stage album back in '76 may want to start saving their pennies for another Rush concert disc on vinyl.

Universal Music Canada announced today that on January 18 Rhino/Universal will release Rush's 2003 album, Rock in Rio, on vinyl for the first time. As well as all 29 of the songs from that gig--which saw Rush performing in front of 40,000 people at Rio's Maracanã Stadium on the final stop of its Vapor Trails tour--the four-disc package will include a couple of bonus tracks recorded in Phoenix and Quebec City.

“In all the years of touring, few gigs matched the energy we witnessed from the Rio audience," says Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson in a press release. "Throughout the night, they sang along to every song, which was quite a feat considering English is not so commonly spoken there. They even sang robustly during ‘YYZ’, and that's an instrumental!"
