Vancouver music legend and actor Jim Byrnes didn't know anyone else was going to be popping in when he started his online Backstage at CapU discussion with host Fiona Black.

But to his surprise he and Black were joined in the conversation by American blues great John Hammond, as well as guitarist-producer-podcaster and Black Hen Music head Steve Dawson, a former Vancouverite now based in Nashville, Tennessee.

The three musicians performed together at a Mississippi Sheiks Tribute Concert at Capilano University Theatre back in 2010.

You can hear Byrnes, Hammond, and Dawson telling their stories on March 31 at 8 pm Pacific time.

The event, presented by Capilano University’s BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts, is free to watch on Facebook.
