RCMP in the Fraser Valley is seeking to find out what the public thinks about their local police.

The RCMP Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment area ranges from Chilliwack to Boston Bar, and covers Agassiz, Harrison, Hope, and the Fraser Valley Regional District.

Starting today (January 7), an anonymous online survey is available for citizens of the Upper Fraser Valley to offer their feedback about the detachment.

Responses from the survey will be taken into consideration in preparation for a new strategic plan, which will provide direction in how to allocate resources to serve community needs.

Survey responses will be submitted to an independent third party who will provide the RCMP with a summary report.

The survey, which consists of nine questions about policing, crime, and public safety, is available in both English and French until January 27.
