After several violent crimes, including kidnapping and assault, took place earlier this month, three individuals from Chilliwack have been arrested and charged.

On September 15, Chilliwack RCMP received a report about a person having being assaulted and abducted the week before, which was followed by a series of threats and assaults toward a second victim over five days.

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP spokeperson Cpl. Mike Rail stated in a news release that both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

After investigators gathered evidence and identified three suspects, police used a search warrant at a residence in the 9400 block of Robson Street in Chilliwack on September 17.

Officers seized further evidence and arrested two individuals there at the time while a third suspect, who wasn’t at the residence at the time, was later taken into custody on September 18.

Jeffery Brian Aubie, 44, Chelsey Rae Loranger, 26, each face charges of forcible confinement, assault, and assault with a weapon. Aubie also faces additional charges of kidnapping and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.

Meanwhile, Josh Alex Herrling, 33, of Chilliwack is being charged with assault and uttering threats causing bodily harm.

Aubie and Herrling remain in custody until court dates later this month and in October.

Loranger was released from custody pending a date to appear in court in October.

Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
