There were two incidents of gunfire on the city's East Side this weekend.

A 44-year-old Vancouver man was shot several times near a restaurant close to the intersection of Kingsway and Gladstone Street.

This occurred around midnight.

Around 4:30 a.m., a 35-year-old Surrey man was found shot near East Hastings Street and Heatley Avenue.

Vancouver police do not believe the two shootings are linked. However, they did look like they were targeted.
