People in the Sunshine Hills area of North Delta are receiving some unwelcome visitors, thanks to very misleading ads on Craigslist.

Today, Delta police said they're "investigating a series of incidents" involving messages about intimate encounters, free items, and house parties.

According to a police news release, those who respond to the ads show up at addresses provided.

And they expect what's being offered in the ads, much to the surprise of those living there.

"The Delta Police are notifying the public to create awareness surrounding these incidents and to remind citizens to make sure doors are secured even when you are at home," a police news release states.
