More wet weather is on the way to the south coast of B.C.

Environment Caanda is forecasting 75 to 150 millimetres of rain from Saturday (November 13) to Monday (November 15 morning) for Metro Vancouver, the Lower Fraser Valley, Howe Sound, and southern sections of the Sunshine Coast.

"A series of moisture laden systems associated with an atmospheric river from the Pacific will begin arriving Saturday evening and bring heavy rain to the South Coast," the national weather forecaster stated. "Meanwhile the freezing level will lift to over the mountain tops. Heavy rain in combination with the melting snow can result in high stream levels and local flooding."
