Integrated Homicide Investigation Team seeks witnesses in Abbotsford stabbing and Langley shooting deaths

      There have been two homicides in southwestern B.C. in less than 24 hours.

      In Abbotsford, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is seeking witnesses and dash-cam video in a stabbing death that occurred early this morning.

      It occurred in the 2400 block of Clearbrook Road. A 41-year-old male was found there with serious injuries and later died in hospital.

      The other homicide occurred near 202nd Street and 88th Avenue in Langley on Friday (January 7) around 1:30 in the afternoon.

      IHIT says that this appeared to be a targeted shooting.

      The RCMP has identified the Langley victim as 18-year-old Langley resident Julian Moya Cardenas, who was known to police.

      In addition, a bystander suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. This person's name has not been released.
