Two Burnaby residents taken to hospital after house fire in 3700 block of Pender Street

      A three-alarm blaze gutted a house in North Burnaby early this morning.

      According to the Burnaby Fire Department, two residents were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

      Emergency Social Services is helping others who've been displaced from a second house and from a townhouse complex next door.

      Flames could be seen shooting many feet into the air.

      The fire occurred in the 3700 block of Pender Street just east of Boundary Road.
