      FRIDAY: local indie-rockers the Starling Effect play LanaLou's Restaurant, with guests A New Craze and Kinetoscope.

      FRIDAY: Partyfest 2019 at the Red Gate Arts Society features performances by Devours, Shitlord Fuckerman, Freak Dream, Spencer Owen Timeshare, Joey Chaos and the Ghosts, and Okibi.

      FRIDAY: AHFOMAD at the Vogue Theatre features performances by Nigerian Afro-pop superstar 2Baba, Congolese recording artist Ferre Gola, Mexico's Golden Ganga, and B.C.'s OHR Africa Collective, Nanya and Jaap.

      FRIDAY: local indie-folk band Clay Ravens plays the Railway Stage and Beer Café, with guests the Sunshine Bummers, Ross Jenkins, and Kyle Vaughan.
