Sloan headlines Tinhorn Creek Vinyards’ 2012 Canadian Concert Series

      Tinhorn Creek Vineyards (32830 Tinhorn Creek Road, Oliver), a family winery located in the South Okanagan Valley, has announced the bands performing in its 2012 Canadian Concert Series. The live music series takes place at Tinhorn Creek’s outdoor amphitheatre from May 26 to September 8.

      The Canadian Concert Series opens with East Vancouver-based six-piece band The Boom Booms on May 26; followed by Victoria pop-rock quartet Acres of Lions on June 23; Redeye Empire, which blends reggae, ska, and hip-hop, on July 28; Vancouver’s Said the Whale on August 25; and headliners from Toronto, Sloan, on September 8.

      Each concert event includes a barbeque prepared by Miradoro Restaurant executive chef Jeff Van Geest and Tinhorn Creek wines by the bottle or glass.

      Tickets for individual concerts run from $25 to $60, and a season pass to all concerts (excluding Sloan) is $100. Tickets to the Boom Booms, Acres of Lions, Redeye Empire, and Said the Whale are already on sale, while tickets to Sloan go on Sale April 1 at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 1-888-484-6467.
