West Georgia and West Hastings streets

Due to filming, the following streets are being closed down this weekend.

The 800 to 1100 blocks on West Georgia Street from Bute Street to Howe Street will be closed on Saturday and Sunday (September 2 and 3) from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Similarly, the 800 to 1100 blocks on West Hastings Street from Bute Street to Howe Street will also be shut down on Saturday and Sunday (September 2 and 3) but from 1 to 9 p.m.

Parking will be stripped on these streets and cross streets during this time. Support trucks will be parked on surrounding streets in an approximate one-block radius.

TaiwanFest 2017 will take over Granville Street from West Hastings Street to Smithe Street from Friday (September 1) to Monday (September 4). On these days, this stretch of Granville Street will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to midnight.

During this time period, bus service on Granville Street is being rerouted to Howe and Seymour Streets.

      Burrard Bridge

Paving around the Burrard and Pacific streets intersection will take place this weekend, resulting in a number of partial and complete closures—and the schedule is rather complicated.

On Saturday (September 2), Pacific Street from Thurlow Street to Burrard Street will be completely closed from 4 to 8 a.m.

Then, on the same day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., only one lane in each direction on Burrard Street from the bridge ramp to Pacific Street will remain open for traffic.

On Sunday (September 3) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., one southbound lane on Burrard Street will remain open while all northbound lanes will be closed. Meanwhile, only one lane on Pacific Street will be open.

On Monday (September 4) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Pacific Street will be completely closed from Thurlow Street to Burrard Street.

      TransLink

On Monday (September 4), all bus, SkyTrain, and SeaBus service will be operating on a Sunday/holiday schedule, and the West Coast Express won't be running. For further details, visit the TransLink website.

Also on Monday, TransLink's fall transit service changes come into effect. TransLink is adding 105,000 annual service hours to improve bus service, which includes a combination of seasonal and permanent changes.
