Am currently looking into learning french, either on my own, even pay for a class to learn basic grammar...but it'd be best learning it with others too. would you join with?

It's totally doable to live in Montreal without speaking French. Even better though, is that Quebec offers (offered?) free French language classes. I studied French full time for a year for free while I waited for my residency to kick in. Then I had much cheaper tuition at uni.
Vancouver is no place for humans. Interestingly, my friend's office got renovicted so there could be a server farm... downtown. It's the darnedest thing machines kicked humans out of their place of work.

Not speaking English doesn't stop anyone from moving to vancouver.
