Gastown’s Secret Location (1 Water Street) will be closing its tasting room on Sunday (July 31).

Known for its creative and artistically crafted dishes under the helm of executive chef Montgomery Lau (formerly L’Emotion, Diva at the Met, and MARKET by Jean-Georges), this concept store’s culinary portion will no longer be available after the weekend.

The high-end boutique announced on its social media channels that it will be evolving to focus exclusively on its retail operations, which includes luxury fashion apparel, beauty, and lifestyle products.

“The next chapter in our evolution is an enhancement of our retail experience. We’ll continue to expand our range of new and unique products from around the world, and execute interesting in-store and online events,” reads a statement posted on Secret Location’s website.

The fashion and food destination was known to be one of the first few concept stores in the country, which brought a new kind of shopping and dining experience to the city.
