Enjoy a meal while dangling 150 feet above ground at Dinner in the Sky Vancouver

Not afraid of heights and love food? Then you’ll be interested in Dinner in the Sky when it comes to Vancouver this summer (July 1 to 31, 2017).

Originating in Belgium, this culinary experience has already been in over 40 countries and hosted over 5,000 times—but it’ll be making its debut in the city this year.

Guests will be lifted up 150 feet into the air by a 200 foot crane (extreme dining if you ask us) in False Creek, where "sky chefs" will prepare dishes made with high-quality ingredients.

According to its website, the menu will feature everything from oysters to canapés, Japanese to French dishes, and mixology and cocktails to champagne and wine.

In its FAQ section, we found an answer to a question you’ve probably been wondering: what if you need to use the restroom in the middle of it all?

The platform will be lowered to the ground halfway through the meal, but if you really need to use the loo at any time, just let the attendant know and you’ll be on your way down (apparently it’ll only take a minute to go down 150 feet).

There are several packages offered, with prices that range from $296 (standard lunch experience) all the way up to $919 (the ultimate experience; caviar will be served).

If your pockets are deep enough and you want a dinner experience with a breathtaking view, then this is it—note that the event takes place rain or shine.
